Lake Zurich resident Patrick Freund was the honored hero at this years 14th annual Leukemia and Lymphoma Society's Leukemia Cup Regatta. The event was held Saturday at the Columbia Yacht Club in Chicago. Freund, 20, was diagnosed with leukemia when he was 15-years-old. The good news is he's been cancer free for one year as of July 3. "That was exciting for me," Freund said.
